世界の中でも類をみないパウダー

ここ、富良野の雪は世界の中でも最高の質を誇ると感じています。

カメラマンとしてライダーと共に世界中を旅し各国の雪を見てきましたが、北海道の雪はとても質が良く、特に道北、中でも富良野の雪は特別です。

水分量が少なくサラサラとしていて、パウダースノーの中でも最高ですね。滑っていても全く抵抗がない、こんな雪はこの界隈にしかないのではないでしょうか。

その雪を”スキー場で”味わえるのが富良野スキー場です。

2つのゾーンがあり、多様なレベルの人がそれぞれに楽しめてコースも豊富。

さらにこのスキー場の良いところはまちとの距離感ですね。

車で10分ほど走ればスキー場に着きます。

まちがとても近く、小さいまちながら飲食店も多くアフタースキーも充実した時間を過ごせるので、企画するツアーのお客さまにも喜ばれます。

カメラマンとしても良いフィールドが近くにあることは重要で、このロケーションに惹かれて10年ほど暮らした上富良野町から、昨年ベースを富良野市に移しました。

実は富良野のまちは撮って絵になるシーンにも溢れていて、生活の一部が全て絵になります。

雪かきをしている住民、雪の中を歩き登校する小学生、山を滑るライダー以外にも魅力的な被写体がたくさん存在します。

スナップ好きな僕としてはワクワクするまちでもあります。

海外からの旅行者も戻り始め、今シーズンは富良野を訪れる方がさらに増えると思われます。

いつかこのまちで、海外から来る旅行者とローカルが一緒に楽しめるイベントを実現したいですね。

その為にも、カメラマンとして携わっているこの「bonchi powder」の企画で、富良野の持つポテンシャルを最大限に世界に発信し続けていきたいと思っています。

Unparalleled powder snow in the world.

I have a deep appreciation for the quality of snow in Furano, which I believe is among the best in the world. As a photographer who has traveled the globe with riders, experiencing snow in various countries, I can confidently say that Hokkaido's snow is exceptional, particularly in the Furano region. It has a low moisture content, making it incredibly light and dry, especially suited for powder snow enthusiasts. Riding on it feels effortless, and I believe such amazing snow is unique to this area. The place where you can savor this exceptional snow "at the ski resort" is Furano Ski Resort. It boasts two zones with a wide range of courses suitable for all skill levels. One of the resort's outstanding features is its proximity to the town; it takes just around 10 minutes by car to reach the slopes. With the town being so close, despite its small size, there are numerous dining options, and après-ski activities are abundant. This is greatly appreciated by the guests on the tours I organize. As a photographer, having a great shooting location nearby is crucial. This allure of the location drew me to live in Furano for around a decade in the town of Kamifurano, and just last year, I moved my base to Furano City. In fact, Furano is teeming with picturesque scenes beyond the typical snowy landscapes. Scenes like residents shoveling snow, elementary school students trekking to school through the snow, and of course, riders carving the mountains. There are plenty of captivating subjects for someone like me who enjoys photography.International travelers are gradually returning, and I anticipate that more visitors will come to Furano this season. I hope to organize an event in this town where travelers from overseas and locals can come together and enjoy the unique experiences Furano offers. Through projects like bonchi powder, which I am involved in as a photographer, I aim to showcase Furano's immense potential to the world and continue doing so to the fullest.
