Amazing！な雪

僕がスノーボードを始めたのは16歳の時で、始めたその日にハマりました。

プロになりたいと思い大会に出場し続け、19歳の時にジャンプの大会で優勝したのをきっかけに、スポンサーがつくようになりました。

当初、出身地の帯広を拠点にしていましたが、自分で車を運転して自由に移動できるようになると、道内のスキー場をまわるようになりました。

その頃バックカントリーも始めていたので、十勝岳や富良野岳など魅力的な山がたくさんある富良野界隈に魅力を感じ、拠点を移しました。

ニュージーランドやアメリカ、毎年長野にも滑りに行きますが、僕は富良野の雪質は世界一だと思っています。富良野スキー場はフィールドが広く、斜度も様々ありいろんな楽しみ方ができるスキー場です。

また、ひとことでパウダースノーと言っても、日によって状態は違います。毎日滑ってその日その日のパウダーを味わって欲しいですね。

いつだったか海外からいらっしゃった方のガイドをした時、「Amazing! 」と何度も叫んでいました。それがとても印象に残っています。

海外からのお客さまも増えていますし、より多くの方に満喫していただけるよう、スキー場内の休憩所や喫煙所、レストランが充実するとさらに魅力的になると思います。

もちろん今も間違いなく楽しめるスキー場なので、たくさんの方に来て、滑って、食べて楽しんでもらいたいです。

富良野で生活していると冬は雪に包まれますが、雪はねも僕にとっては滑る前の準備運動です。

雪をはねながら雪の状態もチェックできますしね。そして、地元の子供たちがすぐ近くにあるこのスキー場でもっともっと滑って楽しんでくれると嬉しいです。

Amazing Snow!

I started snowboarding when I was 16, and I was hooked from the very first day. I kept competing in tournaments, and after winning a jumping competition at the age of 19, I started getting sponsors. Initially, I was based in my hometown of Obihiro, but once I could drive and move around freely, I began visiting various ski resorts across Hokkaido. Around that time, I also got into backcountry snowboarding, and I was drawn to the Furano area because of its many appealing mountains, like Mount Tokachidake and Mount Furanodake, so I decided to relocate my base there.I go snowboarding in New Zealand, the United States, and Nagano every year, but I believe Furano’s snow quality is the best in the world. Furano Ski Resort has a vast field with various slopes of different gradients, offering many ways to enjoy the experience. Even though it’s all powder snow, the conditions vary from day to day. I’d love for people to snowboard every day and savor the powder each day as it comes. I once guided a visitor from overseas, and they kept shouting "Amazing!" over and over again. That left a lasting impression on me. As more and more visitors come from overseas, I think enhancing the ski resort’s amenities, such as rest areas, smoking areas, and restaurants, will make it even more attractive. Of course, it’s already an incredibly enjoyable ski resort, so I hope many people will come, snowboard, eat, and have a great time.Living in Furano means being surrounded by snow in the winter, but for me, shoveling snow is just a warm-up before hitting the slopes. While shoveling, I can also check the snow conditions. I’d also be thrilled if more local kids would take advantage of this nearby ski resort and have fun snowboarding as much as possible.
